Documents floristiques

The plants specimens collected and deposited in herbaria are obviously the most tangible results of the botanical efforts made by botanists. However, these specimens are scattered throughout the collections, each classified according to its species. It is therefore very difficult to know whether a particular locality has been visited by a botanist and, if so, which taxa have been surveyed, unless all specimens of the herbaria are examined; an enormous amount of work that almost no one plans to do.

Documents floristiques proposes to play this role of informing on the results of collecting campaigns of Quebec of botanists. Anyone who carries out a floristic inventory in any locality or region in Quebec is invited, through Documents floristiques, to share their resuts with the botany community, regardless of the group of plants studied. Mycological inventories may also be accepted.
